We have traveled from the east coast to the west coast, to develop a quality herd with outstanding lineage. Our Ace's backgrounds include names like: Snowmass Legacy Gold, Snowmass Incaaccoyo Star, Jericho691, Snowmass Golden Girl, Hemmingway, Accoyo Grand Master, Altiplano Gold, Royal Fawn, Shackelton, Greybeard, Black Thunder, Royal Condor, The Last Don, Aladdin, Crescent Moon's Rainier, That's The Nuts, Elevar, Neruda and Snowmass Nova. With each cria that is born we are sure to have a "full house" of top quality alpacas in the South.
We have been in the alpaca business since 2004. It all started with a voice from the living room saying "hey honey come look at how cute these animals on tv are". After researching Alpacas on the internet and speaking with numerous breeders from around the country, we agreed that we would attend a seminar to learn as much as we could about all the aspects of raising alpacas. We attended an informational seminar that explained the history of alpacas, aspects of caring for the animals, hands on demonstrations, tax advantages, investment returns, and so much more. Not long after, we purchased our first three females and with that, as the saying goes, "the rest is history"!
We are located in Hempstead, TX about 20 miles northwest of Houston, and are just 30 minutes from Texas A&M University, for those AGGIES that want to visit (Class 93'). Our goal is to not only breed and raise alpacas, but also to educate the community on these beautiful animals. In addition, we strive to be a key asset in building the business of alpacas in the South. Kevin sits on the Board Of Directors for the State of Texas Alpaca Ranches, and was the affiliate congress representative for TXOLAN with AOBA, the national alpaca organization.
